VARIATIONS by NAZA is based on an extensive work of documentation that develops an inventory of shapes of woodcarvings. They come from objects of discarded furniture founded in an old carpentry workshop. A catalog of 98 pieces is designed combining computer-aided design with 3D printing. As a result, all the shapes embrace the Castilian tradition; and they will serve as a mold for its design in porcelain. All of them are normalized to fi t a series of standardized dimensions that allow their combination by joints also generated by 3D printing. Different polished, enameled and painted porcelain are possible, even the union joints could be done in 3D plastic material, wood, and metal. Likewise, the catalog offered to the user provides a wide range of variations for the greatest diversity and plurality in order to create sculptures, vases or tables lamps.
