"The small animals that inhabit the forests represent my individuality and, through it, the human condition. Their round black eyes, lively and constantly alert—perplexed or expectant, wary or trusting—try to understand what is happening in the real world, outside the forest, knowing it is only a shadow or an echo of what unfolds in parallel deep within themselves.
In this sense, much of my work can be seen as a work in progress, a kind of journal where I record the emotions and thoughts that are part of my daily life, mine and those of all who identify with it."
